Local Better Business Bureau Announces Don Valentine as Chairman of the Board of Directors

[ Houston , TX Jan. 22, 2008 ] The Better Business Bureau of Greater Houston & South Texas named Don Valentine, CEO & Owner of John Moore Services, Inc. as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

“As the champion of marketplace trust, the BBB board and staff believes that our mission is to communicate standards of ethical business and charitable practices, encourage adherence to these standards, and when necessary, exposing substandard behavior.  As a member-based organization, we know we must provide real membership value by promoting the BBB as the symbol of trust and our members as a cut above non-members” said Valentine.

While the Greater Houston and South Texas Bureaus began re-investing in the BBB Brand several years ago, the National Council of BBBs has launched a new advertising campaign. 2008 will mark the start of this unified national and local campaign to aggressively build the relevance of the BBB Brand as the leading symbol of trust.

The BBB is a non-profit organization with 7500 local members serving Austin , Brazoria, Brooks, Cameron , Colorado , Fort Bend , Galveston , Harris , Hidalgo , Jim Hogg, Kenedy, Matagorda, Montgomery , Starr, Waller, Wharton, Willacy & Zapata Counties . The BBB provides free reliability reports and handles customer complaints on member and non-member companies. The Bureau has been helping local consumers make wise decisions since 1922.
